Writing Center Tutor Coordinators are undergraduate students from a wide range of majors and interests, coming predominantly from the 21st Century Scholars work study program. They work as administrative support in the Writing Center, provide creative spark for our community, and do all of the things that make our center function like the well-oiled machine it is. Tutor Coordinators have committed to one year of administrative work in the Writing Center, after which they begin ongoing tutor training including a required credit in ENG 260: Responding to Student Writing to become Writing Center Tutors. Tutor Coordinators participate fully in the scholarship of the Writing Center, including attending regional and national conferences, and partake in shared governance of the Writing Center. For more information, contact the Writing Center at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Apply online through Knightwork. Include a current resume with two strong writing samples and two letters of recommendation from Marian University Faculty. A member of the Student Leadership Board will contact you to schedule an interview. The interview process is informal (typical school-day dress will do) and lasts an hour or less. Applicants are encouraged to inquire about the culture of the Writing Center and ways that they can enrich the environment and pursue their own intellectual curiosities.
