Working for the Writing Center at Marian University has been an exhilarating experience for me. I enjoy the engagement of tutoring writing and finding creative solutions with students on their writing assignments. My academic and professional background is in English and in art, where I earned two master's degrees. More specifically, I researched pedagogical approaches to English for art purposes. I'm also certified in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). At Marian, I work predominantly as a lab-hour instructor; however, I've also taught first-year composition elsewhere. As an instructor, I understand that writing can be both an invigorating and onerous process that necessitates guidance and feedback to progress and develop successfully. I'm interested in working with students from all academic backgrounds and in all areas of writing. I look forward to getting to know more Marian University students and faculty.
