Elizabeth R. Hearn

 Mrs. Hearn is the founder and director of Knight Fusion Singers and an assistant professor of music at Marian University in Indianapolis. She also teaches courses in music theory and choral music education and conducts the University Choir. She is the current faculty advisor for the collegiate chapter of the National Association for Music Education. Mrs. Hearn serves as a consultant, clinician, and adjudicator for choirs throughout the south and midwest.

Knight Fusion was honored to be the host choir at the 2014 FAME Show Choir National Championship series in Chicago and will again serve as the host choir for their Orlando festival in the spring of 2015.  

Mrs. Hearn received the bachelor of science in music education (Magna Cum Laude) and master of arts in music education from the University of Alabama. She was honored to the be University of Alabama's Outstanding Music Education graduate in 2003.

Before moving to Indianapolis in 2010, she served for seven years as choral director at Hueytown High School in Hueytown, Alabama where her choirs consistently received superior ratings at state assessment and earned numerous awards at various contests and festivals across the southeast.  

Mrs. Hearn is currently active in the music ministry as a vocalist at the Westlake Church on Indy’s westside. She is also a licensed Kindermusik teacher.

Her professional affiliations include: MENC, ACDA, ICDA, and Sigma Alpha Iota. Most recently, Mrs. Hearn proudly adds cancer survivor to her list of accomplishments. She is a volunteer at the Hendricks Regional Cancer Center and a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She is married to Dr. Sidney T. Hearn, director of bands at Marian University and they have two children - Catherine and Andrew.


Jennifer Toney

Jennifer ToneyJennifer is a freelance choreographer, musical director, clinician, and adjudicator based in Chicago, IL. This season her work can be seen in 22 show choirs across the country. Jennifer is the owner of Front & Center Productions which hosts showchoir workshops for elementary and junior high students throughout the Midwest. In addition to her freelance work, Jennifer is employed by The Rising Stars Show Choir Workshop where she directs hundreds of elementary, middle, and high school students in show choir programs and summer workshops!

She has choreographed productions of Beauty and the Beast, How to Succeed, BARK!, and Seussical as well as judged competitions in New York City, Nashville, Indiana, and Iowa. Jennifer was a Presidential Scholar Graduate of Millikin University and received her masters degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Marty DeMott

Marty DeMottMarty DeMott has been choreographing competitive show choirs at the college, high school, and junior high school levels for more than 30 years, having worked with more than 50 individual groups, many of which have been awarded numerous Grand Champion and Best Visual Awards performing Marty's choreography. He has also served as guest choreographer for All-State Show Choir Workshops in Arizona, Alabama, and Mississippi, and for camps in Arizona, Illinois, kansas, Massachusetts, North CArolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin, including 16 years on staff with Show Choir Camps of American. In addition, DeMott has adjudicated more than 200 competitions in his career, including events for SHOWSTOPPERS, Fame, Show Choir Nationals, and at many high schools throughout the country.

Courtney Cerny

Courtney Cerny is a Chicago-based actress with experience in some of the most acclaimed Midwest Equity regional houses. Most recently, she was seen in the Goodman Theatre's production of BRIGADOON which won a Jeff award for best large production of a musical in 2014!

Courtney is a graduate of Center Grove High School, where she was a member of two national award- winning show choirs (Debtones and CG Sound System), and performed in numerous Center Grove theatrical productions. She developed a strong background in various styles of dance including: ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, and acrobatic dance during her sixteen years of study at The Dance Refinery in Indianapolis, Indiana.

While earning her BA in musical theatre performance from Liberty University, Courtney performed in nine main stage productions. She served as a dance captain in THE MUSIC MAN and following graduation was asked to choreograph THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at her alma mater. Courtney then went on to choreograph her first professional theatrical production, PETER PAN, with Alluvion Stage Company in Lynchburg, Virginia. As an instructor, Courtney has had the privilege of being a dance assistant and camp counselor at Show Choir Camps of America, as well as choreograph for numerous high school musicals and show choir groups including: THE SOUND OF MUSIC and AWESOME 80'S PROM (Center Grove High School), and the groups, Rebel Rhapsody (Roncalli High School), Elan and Co. (Beech Grove High School), Accents and Surround Sound (Center Grove High School).

Courtney's on-stage career has taken her all around the Midwest. She's appeared in THE DROWSY CHAPERONE at The Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre in Carmel, IN, THE MUSIC MAN at Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre in Indianapolis, IN, HELLO DOLLY, FOOTLOOSE, ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, and A FIRESIDE CHRISTMAS at The Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson, WI, and IN THE HEIGHTS at The Paramount Theatre in Aurora, IL. Upcoming productions include: MARY POPPINS at The Paramount Theatre (Aurora, IL) and WEST SIDE STORY at Drury Lane (Oakbrook, IL).

Though based out of Chicagoland, Courtney spends the majority of her time auditioning and traveling from theatre to theatre continuing to live out her dream of being a professional actor, singer, dancer, and choreographer!
