Using Panopto

Panopto is used to record video presentations, manage your existing video files, and stream your video content to any device. It can be made available to use on any computer.

If your recording will be published to Canvas, the easiest way to start a recording is to log into a Canvas course. From the navigation menu on the left side of the screen click the tab: "Panopto Recordings". At the top of next window, click on the "Create" button.

If there is no "Panopto Recordings" tab in the navigation menu in your Canvas course, click on the "Settings" tab at the bottom of that list. In the next window, click on the "Navigation" tab near top of the window. Locate "Panopto Recordings" toward the bottom of the list that appears, and click and drag it into the upper portion of the list. Then, near the bottom of the page, click "Save". The "Panopto Recordings" tab should now appear in the navigation list and can be used to access Panopto.
