Pay attention to background noises, such as running motors, music, or any other noises that may indicate the location from which the call is being made. Listen closely to the voice to determine voice quality, accents, speech impediments, sex, or any unusual characteristics.

DO NOT put caller on hold or attempt to transfer the call.DO NOT hang up the phone that the call came in on. Use another phone to call campus police.
