Academic Advising

At Marian University, advising is a collaborative process that encourages students to take ownership of their academic experience by exploring dreams, identifying goals, and developing meaningful academic plans. Academic advisors provide advice and support to students as they navigate the path to academic success and graduation.

Academic Advisors

  • Serve as an accurate source of information about general education, program, and graduation requirements
  • Refer advisees to appropriate campus resources
  • Help advisees discover their strengths, skills, and abilities
  • Celebrate advisee successes and challenge them to reach their full potential
  • Assist advisees as they design individualized academic and post-graduate plans
