Complex Wide Evacuation

NOTIFICATION will be delivered by loud speaker announcements, Campus Shield, text messages, email.

PURPOSE is to ensure a viable plan to quickly, safely and efficiently evacuate all buildings throughout the complex to provide for the safety of all on the premises.

 IMMEDIATE ACTION

PROCEDURE 

In the event of an emergency requiring the total evacuation of the premises the following steps should be followed: 

  1. In the event an emergency arises requiring the evacuation of all complex wide buildings [with the exception of Catherine Kasper Home; they have a state licensed mandate of what procedure to follow] Reception or SASS will page the following: “Evacuate all buildings immediately!” three [3] times. 
  2. Upon hearing this page all residents, student, coworkers, visitors and guests should quickly and immediately proceed to the nearest exit and leave the building. 
  3. Once outside proceed to the largest visible parking area and remain there until an “all clear” to re-enter the buildings is announced.
 DO
DO remain calm. DO follow instructions. DO wait for all clear to return to building.
 DON'T
DO NOT hesitate or ignore instructions to evacuate.

On July 1, 2021, Marian University has officially opened a new location on the former campus of Ancilla College in Plymouth, Indiana. In recognition of the shared missions and solely to honor the history of Ancilla College, the new location is named Marian University's Ancilla College.
