Monique Ware

Monique Ware is the associate director of financial aid at Marian University. She has worked in the Office of Financial aid for over eight years. However, her involvement in financial aid started her freshman year in college. The Office of Financial Aid was her work-study position and got her involved early in the financial aid process. This later led to her being hired in the office and she’s been there ever since. Ware was a graduate of Marian University in 2009. She majored in business management with a human resource concentration. She also has received her master’s in management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2013.

Marian University holds a special place in Monique’s family because both her mother and father were Marian graduates. Monique decided to follow in their footsteps and attend Marian like them. While a student at Marian University, Ware also participated both in basketball and track and field. She qualified for both the indoor and outdoor track nationals in the long jump and also for the outdoor track nationals in the triple jump while she competed. She currently holds the Marian school record for both the long and triple jump. She currently is in her fourth season of helping coach the men and women’s long and triple jump and hopes to see her records broken soon as the men and women’s teams continue to grow and advance.

In her spare time Monique loves to read and travel. She was able to do a ten-day study abroad in England while a student at Marian and has also been able to travel the Spain and France as well as the west coast and Canada. She has many other places still on her bucket list and hopes to grow her list of places she’s visited. Monique truly enjoys the opportunity she had as a student at Marian but also loves that she is able to continue to be a part of Marian’s community through her work in the Office of Financial Aid. Marian University is growing and helping students become transformative leaders and she loves being a part of that process.
