Saint Mary Academic Scholarship Application

Congratulations on your eligibility to compete for the Saint Mary Academic Scholarship! To apply for Marian University's most prestigious award, you must submit a resume and essay to stmaryscholarship@marian.edu no later than December 1, 2023 by NOON, EST. Below are the requirements for both the resume and essay:

Resumes must be one page, single sided, and are an opportunity for you to tell us about your academic and extracurricular accomplishments. We invite candidates to utilize online resources for building a resume available through The Exchange – Marian University’s career development office.

Essays must be double-spaced and should not exceed 500 words.

The assigned essay prompt is: Describe your degree and career aspirations.  How will this scholarship and your success at Marian University prepare you for those aspirations and goals. 

Both the essay and resume must be submitted as email attachments to stmaryscholarship@marian.edu no later than December 1, 2023 by NOON, EST! Both documents should be saved either through Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF with the candidate’s first and last name, i.e. “Daniel Elsener’s Resume” and “Daniel Elsener’s Essay”, please attach as a copy and DO NOT share from a cloud storage.  

Scholarship recipients will be notified in December of 2023. If you are not selected for this scholarship, you will still be eligible for other Marian University scholarships and awards.
