Stephen grew up in Fairmount, Indiana (hometown of legendary movie star, James Dean) and graduated from Madison-Grant High School. He relocated to the south side of Indianapolis and graduated from the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) in May of 2018 with his Bachelor of Arts in theatre.
While at UIndy, Stephen spent a majority of his time dedicated to the Department of Theatre and was an active member of Alpha Psi Omega. As a theatre major, he spent most of his creative energy as an actor and director, and served as Event Coordinator and President for Alpha Psi Omega. Throughout his academic career, he acted and directed in several productions, and received several awards and scholarships for his work.
Outside of theatre, Stephen spent much of his time working for the Office of Admissions as a Greyhound Ambassador, Student Mentor to the Greyhound Ambassador Program, and held an internship as a Summer Representative in which he travelled around Indiana meeting with prospective high school students to speak and present about the university as a “Junior Admissions Counselor.”
As Campus Guest Coordinator, Stephen oversees and manages visits for prospective high school students and oversees and supervises the Marian Ambassador Program which consists of current Marian University students who give tours to prospective students and assist with other admissions events throughout the year. He is most passionate about providing the Marian Ambassador Program with practical, professional development outside of the classroom, while also fostering a fun and good-willed environment for students who serve as Marian Ambassadors. He loves being a part of the Marian University family and experience, and strives to foster an open and welcoming space so that prospective students will also want to join our family.
Outside of work, Stephen is an avid concert-goer and music lover (and the biggest Adele fan you’ll ever meet). He loves spending time with his friends, visiting his grandparents in Gulf Shores, and playing with his long-haired dachshund, Oscar.
