As the only Ohio native on staff, Matt Cramer is a recent transplant to the Hoosier state. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Classics from Miami University and received his Master of Science in Education from Indiana University. During his undergraduate and graduate career, he has worked in many different areas, including residence life, orientation, student unions, and admissions. Currently he serves as the Campus Guest Coordinator at Marian University, meaning if you want to schedule a visit to Marian’s campus, Matt is your guy!

Matt is an avid explorer, always seeking out new places and experiences. He loves travelling to new cities and experiencing the local flavor and the local food. He always has recommendations for lunches or dinners, so please do not hesitate to ask him! He also enjoys museums, attending shows, and singing with the Indianapolis Men’s Chorus.

If Matt can provide one piece of advice, it’s to visit the colleges you are thinking about going to. “A college will be your home for the next few years, so it’s always good to make sure it’s a home you’ll enjoy being at! If you can’t see yourself at the university, then how can you feasibly attend there and be happy? Students: ask questions without your family members present; family members: ask questions without your students present. Deciding to attend a college is a big decision, so make sure you consider all factors before you commit.”
