Parents and Families

We understand that choosing Marian University for your student's undergraduate studies is a big step for your family.

During New Student Orientation, we’ll provide you with more information, discuss campus support services and student resources, answer your questions, and ease your worries as your student begins the college journey.

Parents and family members are welcomed and encouraged to attend orientation with your incoming student. We'll host sessions and programs specifically designed for you. During orientation, you can:

  • Attend a family panel facilitated by Marian University's Family Engagement Team that features panelists who include faculty, staff, and current students. This is your opportunity to ask open, honest, and tough questions without fear of embarrassing your student.
  • Learn great ways to support your student, from their first semester of college through graduation.
  • Connect with faculty, staff, and current students who are all happy to help you and your student have a great Marian University experience.
  • Join your student to learn more about academic and and other campus resources.
