Stacy Wriston, M.A.

Biography

Stacy Wriston has been adjunct faculty in Marian’s Adult Programs for 12 years. She teaches the English 213 Literature: The Short Story and English 101 Composition course. 

Stacy earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and English Literature (Interdisciplinary Studies) from the State University of New York, Albany. She continued her education by earning her Master of Arts in English/Communications at Butler University. Her graduate thesis, a rhetorical analysis of Shakespeare's King Lear, was published by VDM in 2006.  

Outside of her formal education, Stacy worked at Sallie Mae for 14-years as the director of communications where she led internal communications and external marketing initiatives. She also managed The Sallie Mae Fund, a not-for-profit organization that taught financial literacy and provided much needed scholarships across the country.  

After leaving Sallie Mae, in 2014 Stacy joined John Wiley & Sons publishing as a senior manager of integrated marketing.
