Ashley Kelly, of Lakeville, and Christina Nelson, of Walkerton, Indiana,
are second-year Marian University Ancilla College (MUAC) students who each received a $2,000 National Veterinary Technician Scholarship from The Zoetis Foundation. Both students graduated from John Glenn High School in Walkerton, Indiana.

The Zoetis Foundation, in partnership with the American Veterinary Medical Foundation, awarded 207 scholarships for 2024 to eligible veterinary technician students enrolled full-time at an American Veterinary Medical Association-accredited veterinary technology, veterinary nursing, or animal health technology program in the United States or Puerto Rico.

Scholarships are awarded to offset educational expenses related to attaining a veterinary education and are based on academic excellence, leadership and financial need.

"Congratulations to our outstanding students for their remarkable achievement in being awarded the $2,000 National Veterinary Technician Scholarships," said Natalie Tucker, Ph.D., Marian Ancilla College's vice president and dean. "Your dedication, hard work, and passion for veterinary medicine have truly paid off as we are immensely proud of your accomplishments."
