Lemming ’24, a P-12 Education and
Spanish major with a Pastoral Leadership minor, studied in Granada, Spain during
the 2023 spring semester. Throughout her semester abroad, she was able to travel on excursions to near by places. Her piece, “Marruecos (Morocco)”, was captured when she
took a weekend trip to Tangier, Morocco where she got to ride a camel. “This was such a wonderful experience that
captured the beauty of Morocco as the sun set by the Strait of Gibraltar,” Lemming
’24 said. “But, if you ever go to Morocco, be prepared to see all the stray
cats!” Many of Lemming’s other submissions also received recognition within the
other categories.
Yarber ’24, a Political Science major
with Global Studies and Pastoral Leadership minors, studied in Verona, Italy
for 5 weeks in the summer of 2023. Her piece, “Gondola Ride” captured her first
experience on a gondola. “Riding a gondola in Venice has always been a
“bucket list” item for me!” Yarber said. She said she was thrilled to check this off
with her friend Maria Mina ’24 pictured on the right.
Rodriguez ’25, a Spanish and Chemistry major, studied in Buenos Aires, Argentina for five weeks. Her piece, "Iguazú Falls", was captured while exploring a waterfall at a park in Misiones, Argentina. She was able to experience the wonders of God’s creation saying, “being able to experience one of the worlds wonders was amazing, but adding in a rainbow that represents God’s promise to us completed the picture nicely.”
Congratulations to all!
