Congratulations to Anna Garvey, OMS-3, who was named 2023 Student Doctor of the Year in December 2023.
Marian University's College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM) faculty said Garvey, a third-year osteopathic medicine student, excelled in leadership, professionalism, and community service, exemplifying the best of MU-COM.
Based on peer and faculty nominations, this award reflects Anna's dedication to the osteopathic philosophy. After a rigorous process involving application reviews, essays, and a combined scoring by a committee of students and faculty, Garvey's outstanding performance earned her the recognition.
Anna will now represent MU-COM in the national Student Doctor of the Year award, with the opportunity for further recognition and a monetary award.
