Congratulations to Alyssa Seawright DO ’26, who won a $10,000 scholarship from the Indiana Osteopathic Association (IOA) at the IOA’s Annual Winter Update on Dec 2, 2023, in Indianapolis.
During the award presentation, the IOA said Seawright demonstrated osteopathic values through her leadership roles at Marian University, and in the greater Indianapolis community. Seawright is president of Marian’s Student Government Association and is a member of several committees at Marian's College of Osteopathic Medicine. She also attended the AOA House of Delegates as a Student Delegate.
Additionally, Seawright volunteers at the Wheeler Mission and has served as a student intern at the Veterans Administration (VA) Medical Center where she wants to continue serving those who have selflessly served our nation.
“The sacrifices they've made for our country inspire me to dedicate my skills to their well-being,” Seawright said. “My dream is to open a practice focused on providing specialized care to veterans, ensuring they receive the support and attention they deserve.”
