Congratulations to Marian University's College of Osteopathic Medicine student Margaret Drake '25 on her recent publication. The third-year medical student wrote about complications associated with postpartum mood and anxiety disorder symptoms earlier this fall.
The publication entitled, "Obsessive-compulsive disorder symptoms and intrusive thoughts in the post postpartum period: Associations with trauma exposure and post traumatic stress symptoms," (PTSD) is published in the journal Stress Health.
The study identified PTSD symptoms as a new correlate for preoccupation with postpartum-specific intrusive thoughts and neutralizing strategies in the postpartum period in community samples. Congratulations, Margaret, on your published work.
