Congratulations to LaTonya Turner, Ph.D., dean of the Klipsch Educators College. Dr. Turner received the Black Excellence in Education Legacy award from the InnoPower Conference Committee and the Indianapolis Recorder newspaper.
The organizations said Dr. Turner's journey as an educator across all spectrums, including private, charter, public and higher education, exemplified Black Excellence. Dr. Turner won her award as part of InnoPower's Minority Business Week in Indianapolis mid-June 2023.
Since 2016, the awards have recognized over 300 Black educators from Central Indiana, and this year InnoPower celebrated 90 Black Educators during the awards ceremony in front of hundreds of their peers.
