Congratulations to Marian University Alumnus Nathaniel Truitt ’14 who recently received WISH-TV Channel 8's Golden Apple Award for January. Truitt, a Fred S. Klipsch Educators College (KEC) graduate was nominated by his Hinkle Creek Elementary School of Noblesville third grade students, and a record number of nine classroom parents. Because of his teaching excellence, we also recognize Truitt as a Marian University Shining Star!
Part of Truitt’s award is a $500 gift card to Teachers Treasures, an Indianapolis non-profit helping teachers assist at-risk children with classroom supplies. Hinkle parents and his former KEC faculty agree Truitt is a phenomenal educator and alum who treats his students as family in what he calls his “class family.”
