Services for the university's beloved photographer, Chino Barreto, will be July 9 at 11 a.m.
Marian University's beloved photographer, Chino Barreto, passed away on July 2. Chino and his trusty camera captured university events ranging from guest speakers to football games, as well as portraits of university leaders, current students, and alumni. His images helped create the university's visual identity.   A Memorial Mass for Chino will be Saturday, July 9, at 11 a.m. in the Bishop Chartrand Memorial Chapel in Marian Hall. Visitation with the family is from 10-11 a.m.   Memorial gifts in honor of Chino Barreto can be made to the university; the family has designated the Blessed Mother Mary Shrine and Rosary Walk building fund for those gifts.
