64K by 6.4 Challenge Raises Funds for Technology

by Katie Bradley | Jun 06, 2014

Last week, the Office of Institutional Advancement raised $72,125 for the 64K by 6.4 Challenge, beating their goal of $64,000.

The three-day campaign raised money for the Simmons Technologies Capability Endowment, an endowment that allows Marian University to integrate cutting-edge technology into classrooms and throughout campus.

“Technology changes daily and in order for Marian University to keep ahead of the ever-changing trends, it is imperative that we invest in our technological infrastructure,” said Kenith Britt, Ph.D., senior vice president of institutional advancement. “Your gifts allow us to support, research, and initiate activities that help students learn how to work with technology; improve the experiential learning activities that occur outside the classroom; and provide a platform that helps students build the skills necessary to be successful after leaving Marian University.”

Although the 64K by 6.4 Challenge has concluded, you can still give to this worthy cause. Please contact Kenith C. Britt, Ph.D., senior vice president of Institutional Advancement at kbritt@marian.edu to make your pledge or learn more.
