Marian University Knights Football Team Head to Iowa

The Knights are back in the NAIA FCS Semifinals for the third time in four years and will head to Sioux City, Iowa for the first time. The #7 Knights will take on #4 Morningside College Mustangs (Iowa) for the second time with the first meeting coming in the 57th Annual NAIA Football National Championship Game on Dec.13, 2012.

Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. Eastern time and will feature the top-ranked rushing defense in the NAIA against the top-ranked rushing offense. Something will have to give on Saturday. Lucas Corley (p-b-p) and MU senior Alex McCool (color) will call all the action on Catholic Radio Indianapolis at 89.1 FM WSPM and 90.9 FM WSQM. Marian University Sponsors WTHR Health and Fitness Expo

For the second year, Marian University will sponsor WTHR’s Health and Fitness Expo happening April 26-27 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

The expo will include a Health Screening Zone with students from the Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM) and the Alan and Sue Leighton School of Nursing performing adult health screenings for blood pressure, body mass index, glucose, cholesterol.

Stop by the Marian University booth to learn more about children’s health, osteopathic manipulative medicine, and many other health-related activities. MU-COM will also sponsor the “Celebration of Wellness 5K” on April 26, at 8:30 a.m. at the fairgrounds. Register online.

Featured guests include: Andrew Luck, quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts; Bret Michaels, legendary rocker, entrepreneur, and philanthropist; Nick Goepper, 2014 Olympic Winter Games bronze medalist skier; and Sarah Fisher, Verizon IndyCar team owner.
