Marian University Knights Football Team Head to Iowa

The Knights are back in the NAIA FCS Semifinals for the third time in four years and will head to Sioux City, Iowa for the first time. The #7 Knights will take on #4 Morningside College Mustangs (Iowa) for the second time with the first meeting coming in the 57th Annual NAIA Football National Championship Game on Dec.13, 2012.

Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. Eastern time and will feature the top-ranked rushing defense in the NAIA against the top-ranked rushing offense. Something will have to give on Saturday. Lucas Corley (p-b-p) and MU senior Alex McCool (color) will call all the action on Catholic Radio Indianapolis at 89.1 FM WSPM and 90.9 FM WSQM. MU-COM Faculty Members Named NAOME Fellows

American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) has announced that two faculty members from the Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-COM) are 2014-19 Fellows for its National Academy of Osteopathic Medical Educators (NAOME). 

NAOME Fellows are inducted into the Academy each year to serve a five-year term. As Fellows, inductees function as leaders and mentors for academic scholarship and excellence within the osteopathic medical education community.

Representing MU-COM during the next five-year term are Lisa Chun, DO, C-SPOMM, assistant professor, and Michael Kuchera, DO, professor and chairperson.

NAOME is a community of outstanding educators (termed Fellows) who have met rigorous standards of academic excellence within the last five years. Membership is earned (and can be renewed) for five-year intervals during which Fellows are asked to mentor and support academic excellence and scholarship in the osteopathic medical education profession. NAOME was established in 2009 as the first national health professions education academy. Its peer-selected membership comprises a community of outstanding educators from across the osteopathic medical education continuum.
