International Transfer Students

Admission Process

If you attended a college or university after you graduated from secondary school/high school, please apply as an international transfer student. Any student who has previously attended another higher education institution cannot apply as a new freshman.

  • For admission purposes, we accept digital (scanned) files that document your academic credentials.
  • When you are admitted, your final and official transcript and diploma should be brought to the International Admissions Office for verification.
  • This should be done during your first semester (or the first module for ESL students).
  • A hold will be put on your account if the documents are not received.

Next Steps

We will review your completed application. You will be notified via email if additional information is required. If admitted, you will receive an official Marian University offer of admission and an I-20 packet sent by U.S. mail.

English Language Requirements

If your native language is not English, you must complete an English proficiency test. Have the results of your test indicating at least the minimum score below sent to Marian University's Office of International Admissions.

  • Submit a completed Financial Verification Form along with supporting documents from within the past six months showing sufficient funds to cover the first year of study.

  • Complete the Transfer-In Form with the international student advisor at your current school. Your advisor should email the completed Transfer-In Form to international@marian.edu.
