Health Insurance for IEP+ Students

Marian University policy requires all international students on F-1 or J-1 visas to have medical health insurance and evacuation/repatriation coverage.

  • F-1 and J-1 students are required to have medical health insurance and evacuation/repatriation coverage each term they are enrolled and while they are in the United States (for example, between terms).
  • Domestic students (i.e., those who are not visa holders) are not required to have the university's health plan, but may choose to purchase it.
  • If you have another health insurance policy, you can apply for a waiver. Health insurance fees will be removed for those students with an approved waiver.
  • Your alternative plan must contain the same levels of coverage and benefits. Download and review the IEP health insurance waiver for more information.
  • Completed waiver forms should be emailed to Jayson Deese at studyEnglish@marian.edu.

All tuition and fees are payable at the Marian University Business Office. The plan costs about $3.88 per day. You are billed each term based on the days within the term.
