After you have posted a position on Handshake and interviewed candidates, you must indicate to The Exchange that you have hired the student employees so we can prompt the cleared-to-work process. Engage the following steps:
- Contact The Exchange to notify us of which students you hired. Note that students must apply for a position on Handshake to be considered for campus employment.
- Instruct your new hires to visit The Exchange during business hours to receive a cleared-to-work card. From there, they will take the orange work card to human resources to fill out their paperwork.
- Do not allow your student employees to begin work until they present an orange card with a signature from HR as evidence of their completed hiring paperwork. Students will receive instructions from human resources regarding online hour tracking and setting up their ADP account.
