The Marian Connection

To celebrate the concept that learning is a lifelong journey and does not end with graduation, the Alumni Association established The Marian Connection. The Marian Connection is an opportunity to bring greater awareness to events that already exist (e.g. Global Studies Speaker Series), introduce some existing activities to new audiences for the first time, and create new programs based on feedback about desired topics.

New Power Booster Location at Clay Terrace

by Katie Bradley | Feb 04, 2014

Once only offered on the campus of Marian University, Power Booster, a high-tech indoor riding and coaching program put on by Marian University Cycling, is now available at the St.Vincent Sports Performance Clay Terrace location in Carmel, Indiana. The university plans an open house to showcase the new facility on Saturday, March 1, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Founded by Marian University’s head cycling coach, Dean Peterson, the popular indoor cycling training series is in its eighth year of preparing Indy-area cyclists for a full season of training and competition through an established system of workouts that take place on state-of-the-art CompuTrainer© units.

Power Booster is great for cyclists with spring or summer racing goals, triathletes, or for people looking to get in shape and lose some unwanted weight fast and effectively. The series of classes works as a cohesive system to increase power and train riders with pedal efficiency drills, specific output intervals, and feedback from coaches, who are experienced cyclists in the community.

The Power Booster Program includes 4-week and 6-week classes. For a complete list of current and upcoming courses, visit the Power Booster website.
