dcsimg Department of Music

Chair's Welcome

The primary focus of the Department of Music at Marian University is music education. Indianapolis is the marching band and show choir capital of the nation and we are the only university in the area that offers students a collegiate show choir and a competition-style marching band. For students looking for a way to combine music with spiritual calling, we also offer a distinctive degree in pastoral music ministry.

At Marian University, we know that music has the power to transform lives and create a better world.  While that may sound overly optimistic, music students here learn life lessons such as collaboration, leadership, and respect. If we work together we can make this a better world. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me or the Office of Admissions.
