Biography
I grew up in South Bend, Indiana. I attended Indiana University for my undergrad and Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis for my first graduate program. I earned a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Kinesiology. Throughout my collegiate experience, I worked for both athletic departments, focusing on event operations and women’s soccer team management. After graduating with my second degree in 2014, I began working for the Indy Fuel, the professional hockey team in Indianapolis. With the hockey team, I worked in the sales department. My main responsibilities included group experiences for season ticket holders and corporate groups, plus sponsorship sales and activation.
I left the hockey team in 2016 to join the Health Promotions department within Community Health Network. There, I provided one-on-one health coaching to internal and external clients, completed internal and external wellness screenings, and streamlined our corporate wellness programming and event planning process. In the fall of 2018, I transferred to a subsidiary of our hospital network, Visionary Enterprises, Inc. (VEI). Based in the Indianapolis and Detroit areas, VEI is a healthcare management company. Currently, I work with the COO of VEI Michigan. On a day-to-day basis, I epitomize the “jack of all trades, master of none” mentality, but my passions are event operations, process improvement, and data analysis.
In my spare time, I enjoy being active, participating in CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting classes at my local affiliate. I love experiencing nature in all its forms and trying new foods across the country, and hopefully the world someday. My boyfriend and I share a 6.5 year old pitbull/lab mix and he is the best doggo. I'm looking forward to working with all of you during this course!
