Based on one audience suggestion (a title for a play that has yet to be written) The Improvised Shakespeare Co. creates a fully improvised Shakespearean masterpiece right before your very eyes! The Improvised Shakespeare Company, founded in 2005, has been performing its critically-acclaimed show to sold out audiences at the world famous iO Theater in Chicago for over seven years. The ISC also continues to entertain audiences across the US with its national touring company. The ISC has been featured at the Piccolo Spoleto Fringe Festival, Off Broadway in New York City, Bonnaroo, the Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, UCB’s Del Close Marathon, and the prestigious Just For Laughs festival in Montreal and Chicago.  It has been named Chicago's best improv group by both the Chicago Reader and the Chicago Examiner, has been honored by the Chicago Improv Foundation, and has received a New York Nightlife Award for "Best Comedic Performance by a Group".

“DOWNRIGHT HILARIOUS… STAGGERINGLY BRILLIANT”
-Time Out Chicago

“Mind-blowing… It was one of the funniest, most amazing things I’ve ever seen.” -The Charleston City Paper

“The Improvised Shakespeare troupe, exactly what it sounds like, is a tremendous hit in its hometown, Chicago, and it made a big impression at the recent Montreal comedy festival with their on-the-spot soliloquies and perfect pentameter… Go laugh your iams off..” – The New York Times
