“Marian University helped me prepare for a career by giving me a voice.”

Now Lynn is working toward a career in community development and has a special interest in social inequality. She will enter a dual-degree master’s program at Loyola University in Chicago in social work and women’s/gender studies. She knows that Marian University was a key part of her success.

Amy Lynn graduated from a small high school and knew that she wanted to attend a small college. When she first visited Marian University’s campus, she noticed immediately that the friendly, intimate community was an integral part of every student’s success. “I knew it was important to go to a school where I wouldn’t get lost in a crowd. I wanted to be able to have my own voice and the opportunity to know a lot of the students and professors.” Upon admission to Marian University, Lynn received the Sts. Francis and Clare Academic Scholarship and the Cooling Service Scholarship.
