May 26 Recycling Event at Major Taylor Velodrome

Green Piece Indy and RecycleForce have collaborated to present a series of recycling events around Indianapolis.   On Thursday, May 26, from 7 to 9 a.m. Green Piece will accept bicycles and other items in the parking lot of the Major Taylor Velodrome atLake Sullivan Sports Complex(3649 Cold Spring Road just north of campus).   Here is the list of what you can recycle. Learn more atwww.greenpieceindy.com.   Acceptable Recycling Items: Old Bicycles (usable/salvageable bikes will go to Freewheelin’ Community Bikes, others will be recycled for scrap) Bicycle accessories (bike racks, helmets, etc.) Clean, white EPS foam only. Recycle #6. No food containers. Cardboard and box board (cereal boxes) Televisions ($10 donation) Telephone systems Cellular phones PC (personal computers) Laptops Computers Monitors (CRTs) complete (no bare CRT tubes) Mainframe computers Scanners Printers Fax machines Back-up power supplies systems Photocopiers Toner cartridges Microwaves VCRs Electronic wiring Power cables Electronic motors Metals – Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Nickel.
