Performing in a pep band at a college basketball contest is unlike any other performance experience. Pep band performances require expert timing and preparation from all involved. We are expected to be musicians and entertainers, and it should be understood that performing in a collegiate pep band requires more than simply playing your instrument.

Our job as the Marian University Pep Band is to provide the highest quality of musical performance possible for all in attendance, and to help create a “home court advantage” atmosphere for our Knights basketball teams. The game scenario is constantly changing and all band members must actively watch the game, cheer for the Knights, promote school spirit, and strive to play every tune with spirit and energy that leads our team to victory!
