The Marian University Career Mentoring program is a significant shift from how traditional mentoring programs have been designed in the past. The program uses
LinkedIn, a business oriented social networking site, as the the foundation of a career mentoring program designed to help students transition from college to career.
LinkedIn offers professionals a way to connect with people they trust.
LinkedIn can help alumni, students, and recent graduates network with other professionals in their field of interest and make the connections students need to advance their career. It also offers a way for future employers to quickly look over a student's resume and read recommendations from their contacts, including previous employers.
