Shelley Jackson

Director of Transfer and Second Degree Admission

Shelley graduated from William A. Wirt High School in Gary, Indiana. After graduation, she attended Northern Michigan University for her undergraduate degree and Ball State University for her master's.  Both degrees are in education. Prior to working at Marian University, she held several positions including a middle school teacher, admission counselor, and director of college advising.

What is your favorite place on campus?
Stokely Mansion. I love old homes and Stokely is beautiful with so much character.

What do you like best about Indianapolis?

Large city with a small town feel.

Who would you rather have for a roommate—a zombie, a vampire, a gremlin, or bigfoot?
None of them!

Where would you most like to visit?

What is a favorite memory of your time at Marian University?
My first day in the office. I walked into Stokely Mansion in awe of the building and met a wonderful staff.

What advice would you offer to incoming students?
Manage your time wisely, get involved, seek support when needed.

What is one question that every student should ask during the college search?
