Jeanette DeBruhl is an Academic Advisor in the Alan and Sue Leighton School of Nursing at Marian University. She advises half of the pre-nursing, nursing, and on campus accelerated program students. Mrs. DeBruhl earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Language Arts and Social Studies Education from North Carolina State University in Raleigh NC.
After teaching fifth grade Social Studies she returned to school to earn a Master’s degree in Counseling with a focus in College Student Personnel from North Carolina State University. She has a particular interest in working with First Generation College students.
In addition to advising Jeanette is also an instructor for the university’s first year experience course and serves on departmental and campus wide committees. She is also a member of the National Academic Advising Association.

Personal Interests

Jeanette lives in Carmel, Indiana with her husband. She enjoys long distance running, cooking, and travel.
