Two Marian University library staff members have been recognized by the Private Academic Library Network of Indiana for their leadership and contributions to statewide library collaboration.
Caitlin Balgeman was inducted into the PALNI Hall of Fame, recognizing her long-standing service and significant impact on the consortium and its initiatives. She also received an Exceptional Leadership Award, a new honor that recognizes staff members who take initiative, support colleagues, and strengthen collaborative efforts.
Balgeman and Greg Lutz also received special recognition for their work with PALNI’s Workflows Task Force, which supported the PALNI Open Systems Initiative, a consortium-wide migration of library systems.
The honors were announced during PALNI’s biennial All-Staff Meeting on August 7 at Conner Prairie in Fishers. Award recipients were nominated by their peers across the consortium.
Founded in 1992, PALNI is a nonprofit consortium that serves 23 private academic libraries and approximately 40,000 students across Indiana. Marian University is among its member institutions.
