Chip Edgington, an instructor in Marian University's School of Business and a retired logistics executive, has been named the recipient of the 2026 Andre B. Lacy Vanguard Award, one of Indiana's highest honors recognizing leadership in advanced manufacturing and logistics.
Presented annually by Conexus Indiana, the award recognizes Hoosier leaders who have made extraordinary contributions to Indiana's manufacturing and logistics sectors while demonstrating civic leadership and a commitment to developing future industry talent.
Edgington teaches supply chain management at Marian University, where he brings decades of executive leadership experience into the classroom and helps prepare students for careers in one of Indiana's most important economic sectors.
"Indiana's advanced manufacturing and logistics industries are the backbone of our state's economy," Edgington said. "Whether during my career, through my work with Conexus Indiana, or now through my opportunity to work with students at Marian University, my focus has always been on strengthening that foundation and helping develop the next generation of leaders."
Edgington retired as Executive Vice President of Operations for FULLBEAUTY Brands, where he led large-scale logistics and supply chain operations, including major Indiana distribution facilities and the modernization of the company's global supply chain network. Throughout his career, he played a key role in advancing Indiana's reputation as a national logistics leader.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Edgington served as chairman of the Conexus Indiana Board of Directors and the Conexus Indiana Logistics Council. In those roles, he championed workforce development, industry collaboration, and stronger partnerships between Indiana businesses and higher education institutions.
"Chip's recognition reflects an extraordinary career in one of Indiana's most important industries," said Greg Rawski, Ph.D., dean of Marian University's School of Business. "Our students benefit from learning alongside a leader who has helped shape supply chain and logistics operations at the highest levels. His ability to connect real-world experience with classroom learning provides students with valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities they will encounter in today's global economy."
Conexus Indiana President and CEO Jay Wirts said Edgington exemplifies the leadership the award was created to recognize.
"From his leadership on the Conexus Board and Logistics Council to his ongoing work in the classroom, Chip has consistently invested in the people, partnerships and infrastructure that make Indiana a national leader in advanced manufacturing and logistics," Wirts said.
The Andre B. Lacy Vanguard Award is named for the late Andre B. Lacy, a prominent Indiana business leader and philanthropist whose leadership left a lasting impact on the state's economy and manufacturing sector.
Edgington received the award during the Conexus Indiana Rising 30 Class of 2026 recognition event held May 7 at the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis.
