Amanda Luper, MOT, OTR, CBIS, program director for Marian University’s developing Occupational Therapy Assistant program, recently presented at the American Occupational Therapy Association’s INSPIRE 2026 national conference in Anaheim, California.
Luper’s presentation focused on mentorship in acute care settings and highlighted her ongoing work mentoring a new occupational therapy practitioner in Florida. The professional relationship, which has continued for more than 18 months, centers on supporting clinical growth in a hospital-based acute care environment.
The presentation explored the important role mentorship plays in strengthening patient care, supporting emerging therapists, and fostering professional development within occupational therapy practice.
