
Students from Marian University’s marketing program delivered an impressive showing at the recent American Marketing Association (AMA) International Collegiate Conference in Chicago, competing against top programs from across the country.
In one of the conference’s most competitive events, the Perfect Pitch Competition, Marian students stood out among nearly 600 participants. Eli Givens ’26 earned a sixth-place finish, while Peter Waning ’27 placed fourth. Caroline Doorley ’27 also received an honorable mention for her performance.
Waning continued his strong showing in the Sales Competition, earning an honorable mention among 168 competitors.
As a chapter, Marian’s AMA team was also recognized for its collaborative work, receiving an honorable mention for its Social Impact Video and a commendable mention in the Case Competition.
The conference featured competition from leading universities, including Indiana University, the University of Nebraska, Temple University, Arizona State University, Johns Hopkins University, Florida State University, and the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater.
Capping off the weekend, Marian was named a Platinum Circle Chapter, one of the organization’s highest honors, recognizing excellence in chapter operations and impact.
