Marian University Launches Master of Science in Engineering Management

New hybrid graduate program designed for working professionals ready to move from engineer to executive

Marian University is launching a new Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM), a 30-credit graduate degree designed for experienced professionals ready to transition from technical contributor to technical leader.

Housed within the Witchger School of Engineering, the hybrid program blends engineering, management, and leadership coursework into applied learning that students can immediately use in their current roles.

“The Master of Science in Engineering Management is a steppingstone to a high-impact leadership career for individuals with potential and passion, as well as an engineering degree or related field/experience,” said Dr. Daba Gedafa, dean of the Witchger School of Engineering. “You will gain leadership, management, and analytical skills to succeed in the changing world of the 21st-century economy.”

Built for Working Professionals

The program is structured with flexibility in mind:

  • 30 credit hours (10 courses, 3 credits each)
  • Part-time, hybrid delivery
  • Live WebEx sessions Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30–7:45 p.m. EST
  • Select Saturday campus sessions (9 a.m.–4 p.m.)
  • Five semesters completed in approximately 1.5 to 2 years. There is potential for a 1-year completion period.

Courses follow a consistent 16-week format and are offered in fall, spring, and summer terms, allowing students to take one to four courses per term depending on their schedule.
