After an incredible season for Marian University’s women's soccer team, they closed their season at the National Championship in Pensacola, Florida with a 20-1-2 overall record (8-0-1 conference). The Knights demonstrated grit, consistency, and resilience from start to finish, showcasing exceptional team chemistry and unwavering competitive spirit throughout the year.
Among the leaders paving the way though the season were Marian Corro Celma ‘26 and Katie Koger ‘26 who were both named All - Americans and will soon represent Marian University at the United Soccer Coaches Convention on Jan. 17th in Philadelphia. Earning All-American status is considered one of the highest honors in college soccer, recognizing excellence, quality, and elite performance across an entire season. Attributed through their hard work or setting the standard in critical game situations– both players elevated the standard for themselves and their teammates.
On the field, Marian Corro has been a steady and dependable presence. With incredible technical ability, composure, and a strong soccer IQ, Corro’s ability to control tempo and influence the flow of the match made her an undeniable catalyst in the Knights’ success. Koger, meanwhile, continually set the competitive tone with her intensity, leadership, and confidence—bringing energy to every match and inspiring those around her to rise to the occasion.
Beyond the recognition, their impact and legacy will be remembered long after this season. Both helped shape a culture of accountability, hard work, and pride within the women's soccer program, leaving behind a standard that future Knights will continue to build upon. As they head to Philadelphia, Corro Celma and Koger do so not only as standout athletes, but as leaders who have left a lasting mark on Marian women’s soccer.
