A Shining Star for Service: Asia Hudson Expands D.O. Good Hour with AACOM Support

Asia HudsonMarian University is proud to shine a well-deserved spotlight on Asia Hudson, MA, director of student leadership and wellness programs at Marian University’s Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine. (MU-WCOM) Asia has been awarded a prestigious grant from the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) to expand D.O. Good Hour — a program built on her belief that compassion is a skill future physicians must practice just as diligently as anatomy and clinical care.

Through D.O. Good Hour, Hudson brings students and community partners together for meaningful, hands-on service. Each session blends learning, doing, and reflecting: a brief educational moment on a pressing health or social issue, a service activity such as assembling hygiene kits or supporting food access, and a powerful reflection that ties the experience back to the heart of medicine. Under Hudson’s leadership, empathy isn’t just discussed — it’s lived.

Hudson is calling on all community-minded partners to join her in this mission. If your organization is passionate about connection, compassion, and service, she would love to collaborate. Reach out at ahudson1@marian.edu and be part of something that helps future physicians grow with purpose.
