Congratulations to Wyatt Reed, OMS-4! Reed has been selected for the prestigious Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) Grants for Education of Medical Students (GEMS) program, a highly competitive scholarship supporting future leaders in interventional radiology. The program honors excellence, dedication, and diverse representation in medicine while providing stipends for both a virtual curriculum and the annual SIR conference.
Adding to this achievement, Reed also co-authored a published article in the Journal of the Association of Academic Radiology with Richard Gunderman, MD, PhD, highlighting the remarkable history of “bone music”—the use of plain films to smuggle Western music into the Soviet Union. Kudos to Reed for representing Marian University’s Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine by making an impressive impact on radiology.
