Marian University Assistant Professor of Anatomy has Breakthrough Study Published

Niladri Kumar MahatoMarian University Assistant Professor of Anatomy Niladri Kumar Mahato, MBBS, MA, DNB, Ph.D., at the Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine, has achieved a significant milestone by publishing his breakthrough study in the esteemed Muscle & Nerve Journal. This research explores the promising use of multi-frequency electrical impedance myography (EIM) as a non-invasive tool for predicting muscle function in older adults—a step forward in advancing care and quality of life for our aging population. This achievement would not have been possible without the participation of the Athens, Ohio community, whose support and involvement were truly invaluable.

“My heartfelt gratitude goes out to all my exceptional collaborators from Ohio University (OMNI), the University of Missouri (NextGen Precision Medicine), and Harvard University Medical School (Department of Neurology), said Dr. Niladri Kumar Mahato. “Your dedication, expertise, and teamwork have made this project successful.”

Congratulations to everyone involved for this accomplishment and shared commitment to innovation and excellence in medical research.
