Calleen Eberly, a 2025 Marian University’s Ancilla College graduate, was among the first students to complete our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Originally from Warsaw, Indiana, Calleen chose Marian because it felt close to home, both in distance and in the sense of community. She described the campus as having a strong family atmosphere, which made her feel welcome from the start.
Ever since she was young, Calleen knew she wanted to work in healthcare. Nursing had always been her dream—she never considered anything else. That passion guided her through four years of hard work, growth, and memorable experiences.
One of her most powerful memories came during her first clinical rotation. Calleen remembers feeling nervous about walking into a patient’s room. She hesitated, unsure of herself, until a classmate gently nudged her forward and said, “You’ve got this.” That moment stuck with her. It reminded her of how far she has come, from being unsure and nervous to caring for patients on her own.
Calleen is not sure exactly where her future will take her just yet. She enjoyed working in memory care but also found the fast pace of the emergency room exciting. No matter where she ends up, she knows she is prepared because of her time at Marian.
While she is proud to have graduated, she will miss the close friendships she built along the way. Her classmates became like family, and those bonds will stay with her for years to come.
We are proud of Calleen and all our nursing graduates for their hard work, dedication, and heart. They represent the best of what Marian University’s Ancilla College has to offer.
