Biography

J.T. Noble studies and teaches the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, holding a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University. Special interests include the Book of Genesis, Priestly literature, representations of the vulnerable in the Bible, and the interface of the Bible and the Qur’an.

In addition to serving students in the theology department, Dr. Noble helps to lead Marian’s Sr. Norma Rocklage Franciscan Leadership Institute, which promotes renewal in the Catholic Church and society by forming missionary disciples in the Franciscan way.
