Residence Life Policies

Community living is an important part of your overall student experience in college. In order for community living to be successful, students agree to abide by Marian University policies and details in our housing contract. 

Completing an on-campus housing contract implies that you understand and consent to our policies.

Marian University Housing Policy

  • If you are a single undergraduate student, you must live on campus unless the home of your parent or legal guardian is located in one of these Indiana counties: Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, Shelby.
  • You must be registered for classes (at least 12 credit hours) in order to move in and live in campus housing.
  • If you will have attained your 21st birthday on or before August 31, you may request approval to live off campus through the Office of Housing and Residence Life.

2018 Residence Halls Opening and Closing Dates

  • Halls open following Winter Break: Sunday, January 7  at 9 a.m.
  • Halls close for Spring Break: Friday, March 2  at 6 p.m.
  • Halls open following Spring Break: Sunday, March 11 at noon
  • Halls close for Summer Break: Friday, May 4 at 6 p.m.
