Services Provided

Counseling is viewed as a helpful and sometimes necessary resource for students who are experiencing difficulties that interfere with academic and personal functioning.  Counseling programs and services focus on prevention and early intervention whenever possible. Common reasons students utilize services at CCS include:

  • Adjusting to college
  • Anxiety
  • Alcohol and substance abuse
  • Anger management
  • Depression
  • Eating and body image concerns
  • Grief and Loss
  • Homesickness
  • Self Care
  • Stress management/coping skills
  • Sexual assault/trauma
  • Self-esteem/self-confidence
  • Understanding one’s sexual/gender identity
